Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) Chairperson: Manoj Soni UPSC Chairman Manoj Soni has resigned due to personal reasons. There is no official information about the acceptance of his resignation which was given at the end of June. Sources say that at present the DoPT has not accepted the resignation. Soni’s tenure was to end in 2029, but he has resigned to focus more on Anupam Mission.
UPSC Chairman Manoj Soni has resigned before his term ends in 2029. He took charge as a member of UPSC in 2017 and became chairman in 2023. According to sources, Soni now wants to devote more time to Gujarat’s Anupam mission.

At that time, he was 40 years old. Due to which he became the youngest person to become a Vice Chancellor in the country. After this, Soni was made the Vice Chancellor of two universities in Gujarat.

Manoj Soni became a sadhu or nishkam karmayogi inside the mission after receiving initiation in the year 2020. Reports suggest that his resignation and the Pooja Khedkar case are not connected. He has resigned from this post due to his personal reasons.

UPSC has issued a notice to cancel the candidature of Pune’s trainee IAS Pooja Khedkar, register an FIR and bar her from appearing in future exams. The commission has also issued a show cause notice to ban her from future exams. Pooja is accused of hiding her real identity and appearing in the exam by showing a fake identity. UPSC says that Pooja appeared in more exams than the prescribed limit by hiding her identity.
